Here are three updates on the Library…. details of the children’s summer reading challenge, new library opening times for August onwards and in formation about overdue library book fines.
SUMMER READING CHALLENGE 2021
FOR AGE 4 YEARS UPWARDS
Presented by the Reading Agency and delivered in partnership with libraries.
Woodford Halse Community library is participating in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge.
Children can borrow books from our library and to complete the challenge you can read at least 6 books during the summer. Each time you finish a book collect stickers to help you complete your poster.

We welcome children from Woodford Halse and surrounding villages to take part in this challenge.
LIBRARY OPENING HOURS
Our opening hours remain the same until the end of July 2021.
Please note that from 1st August 2021 the library opening hours will change to the following
WEDNESDAYS 10.00 am to 2.00 pm
THURSDAYS 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm
FRIDAYS. 2.00pm to 5.00 pm
SATURDAYS 10.00 am to 12.00 pm
RETURNING LIBRARY BOOKS
There has been an amnesty regarding fines during the last few months but from 1st August 2021 fines will be re-introduced for overdue books.
