The Memorial Glade in the Great Central Woodland provides a place for reflection and quiet commemoration.

Also in the Glade is an information board providing details of the locomotive Valour, which acted as a memorial for employees of the Great Central Railway killed during the Great War. Find out more about Valour here.

It is possible to request scattering of ashes in the Memorial Glade and commemorative placques can be added to the stone in the centre of the Glade. A Guide to the Use of the Glade  can be found below, together with a form to request a memorial placque.
